Wardrobe-building with Attila Földi

Please introduce yourself in a few words.

-My name is Attila Földi. I live in Budapest, I'm 30 years old, and I work in the hospitality industry.

Which is the one clothing item you can never have enough of in your wardrobe and why?

-The one thing you can never really have enough of is shoes. I believe a pair of shoes, whether worn in daily life or on special occasions, is a tool for self-expression. They reveal a lot about the wearer’s personality.

What's the one item every man should have in his wardrobe?

-I’d highlight two. I believe a navy blue suit and a white shirt are essential elements that every man’s wardrobe must have.

Which is your favorite made-to-measure clothing item and why?

-Every made-to-measure piece is very close to me, but if I had to pick one, it would be my jeans. I always hated shopping for jeans. I’d spend hours in malls but never found one that truly fit me. Now that they are custom-made, and I can choose every detail—from the color to the fabric and the buttons—I no longer have to think about it.

What advice would you give to those who don’t yet own made-to-measure clothing?

-I would encourage everyone to try it. After my first made-to-measure suit, I didn’t think twice about where to shop next. I still feel the same way today, whether it’s pants, shoes, ties, or even a casual shirt.

Do you have any style icons, and if so, who are they?

-Yes, of course, I do. One of my childhood favorites is the well-known football player, David Beckham. The other is an Italian tailor, Leonida Ferrarese, whose style I currently relate to the most. My dream is to own a custom suit made by him.

What do your friends think about your fashion choices?

-They often relate to my fashion choices and frequently comment when I’ve put an outfit together well.

Do you have other hobbies besides fashion, and what are they?

-Due to my job, I have very little free time, but when I can, I spend it with my family and friends. I love gastronomy, enjoy cooking, trying new restaurants, and traveling.
